We organize those results into plain language and keep them tied to the exact batch they describe.

No. We do not run tests, operate a lab, or sell testing services. Testing is done by the lab each brand chooses. LabTested displays what that lab reported.

No. Results are provided by the merchant or its lab partner and are shown as reported. LabTested does not verify, certify, approve, or guarantee any product or result. What we add is transparency: every published panel links to the source document, so anyone can read the original report themselves.

Either the brand or the lab that produced the report. Brands can upload their COA PDFs directly, or invite their lab, and the lab delivers reports for them through its own portal.

No. Several unrelated businesses use the words "lab tested" in their name. This is LabTested, Co., a software company whose only website is labtested.co. It is not affiliated with any of them, and it is not a testing laboratory or a certification body.

It means the brand has published lab results for that product’s batch. Tap it to open the full panel: each tested substance, the reported value, the limit it is shown against, the test date, and a link to the original lab document.

Yes. Every panel links to the source certificate of analysis and shows a content fingerprint of the exact file on record, so you can check the report yourself rather than take anyone’s word for it.

No. Results apply only to the referenced sample, batch, and test date, which is why the panel always shows the lot number and when it was tested. They may not represent other batches of the same product.

No. LabTested is lab agnostic. Keep the lab you already trust, upload the COAs you already have, and we never add a markup on testing.

Yes. Labs get their own portal to deliver reports directly to shared clients, so the brands you work with can publish your reports without retyping a thing.

Yes, in the sense that matters for packaging: LabTested keeps a claims ledger connecting each GTIN to exactly one product, validates check digits, and locks a GTIN once a code is printed or a result is published, with audited corrections after that. It does not issue GTINs; those are licensed from GS1. LabTested manages what your GTIN resolves to: the product, the batch, and its lab results.

A GS1 standard that turns a product barcode into a web address. Instead of a code that only opens one fixed page, a Digital Link URI carries the GTIN, and optionally the lot and expiration, so one scan can resolve to the right batch record. LabTested runs a Digital Link resolver, so the QR code on your label opens the exact batch and its lab results.

It keeps working. Every generated code is recorded before download, a code marked as printed can never be edited or pointed at a different product, and archived products still resolve behind their printed codes. A shopper scanning a years-old label always lands somewhere real.

No, and neither is anyone else: GS1 does not currently operate a certification program for Digital Link resolvers. LabTested is built to the GS1 Digital Link URI syntax and conformance test material, including linkset content negotiation and query-string AI (17) expiration, and it never claims a certification that does not exist.

Every uploaded PDF runs through automated document integrity checks, and every document on record is fingerprinted with a content hash shown in the panel. The original file stays on record and is always one tap away. The data itself remains the responsibility of the merchant and its lab.

Limits may be based on lab-provided thresholds, brand specifications, category standards, or applicable regulatory references. Each value is displayed against the selected limit so the number has context.

Results are displayed as reported, and anything above the report limit is labeled clearly. Brands choose which batches to publish, but LabTested never edits, softens, or hides a published value, and the source document is always attached.
